Ten of Wands

Ten of WandsLife is too busy! Instead of seeking what is missing in our lives we are taking upon ourselves too much and might collapse. In order to succeed we need to free up time and resources for the subject at hand.

The Ten of Wands indicate that we feel that something is missing in our lives but we try to correct this feeling by taking more and more tasks upon ourselves. Instead of looking for the simple things, earth and materialization, we take upon ourselves another project and another obligation. We might get some satisfaction in the short term but eventually we will not be able to hold up and will break down.

Despite the above, the card does not necessarily mean we will not reach our goal. But, in order for this to happen we need to stop taking so much upon ourselves and free up time and resources to reach our goal.

  Supportive Obtrusive
Relationships  _  Tendency to shy away from relationships and focus on other areas, getting addicted to our job, quarrels.
Career  _  Taking upon ourselves too much, failing to meet deadlines and goals, tension and tiredness that can lead to a break down.

Areas of particular relevance:
Taking upon ourselves too much, self destruction, a husband not listening to his wife

Nine of Wands

Nine of WandsWe have to hold on –a final effort will bring the desired results. It is also crucial that we stay focused on our goal.

We need to hold on just a little while longer. There will still be additional obstacles to overcome but eventually, after this final effort, things will work out well.

Basically the Nine of Wands is a good card. But it also indicates that we need to stop looking for challenges, adventures, and unattainable goals. Instead, we need to find stability and act to fulfill our true needs in life. Once we do so, all will start to fall into place.

  Supportive Obtrusive
Relationships Successfully facing challenges, overcoming obstacles. Emotional hurt, lack of communication, a feeling that we are “out of the picture”, being over suspicious.

Areas of particular relevance:
A need to survive, lack of involvement in what is going on, a last minute failure, an inner feeling of failure that blocks our progress

Eight of Wands

To guarantee success, we have to react quickly and without hesitation and take advantage of a recently formed opportunity.

Eight of WandsNow is the time to act. There is no time for debates, questions and discussions. When we will act the Universe will help us and our action will be successful.

This is a card of success in which all of our actions are correct. We need to continue them swiftly, decisively, with no hesitation on our part. This way we will quickly get the results that are right for us, eventually leading us to success and completeness.

Many times the card calls upon us to act swiftly so we won’t miss a particular opportunity.
The Eight of Wands is the pinnacle of the suit of Wands. If we act correctly we will exchange energy into matter and continue to the success represented by the Nine and Ten of Coins. Hesitation and no action on our part will lead us to the decline of Nine and Ten of Wands.

  Supportive Obtrusive
Relationships  Readiness for a relationship including marriage, passion and falling in love.  Jealousy, stupid bickering, halting the progress after becoming successful.
Career  Opportunities we have to take advantage of, creativity and good ideas that promote us, quick action that will lead to success.

Seven of Wands

We tend to spend our time on trivial things -we have to set priorities and execute accordingly while focusing on our goal.

Seven of WandsThe Seven of Wands indicates a tendency to deal with the trivial and the unimportant. Now, however, we understand that this approach gets us nowhere. We therefore have to stop going around in circles chasing challenges and simply focus on the essence of the topic.
We often fail to reach our goal because we spend energy to fulfill other needs. For example, if we want a promotion we need to get our ego in check while communicating with our manager, think before speaking and establish a solid relationship -which will lead to the coveted promotion.
If we face the same problems and get the same lessons over and over again, we need to learn from past mistakes and focus first and foremost on our goal. Only then, with our goal in mind, can we discard the trivial, focus on the essential and succeed.

Areas of particular relevance: Mistakes, lack of concentration, confusion, getting lost in detail, attention and focus disorder

  Supportive Obtrusive
Relationships  A good time to overcome relationship difficulties, focusing on our goal will lead to the desired results.  Confusion and lack of focus, difficulties and obstacles, relationships turn into rivalry, sticking stubbornly to our principles.
Career  Focus and smart utilization of our resources will get us to our goal.  We fail to see the big picture, getting lost in detail, cooperation turns to competition.

Six of Wands

We made it! After a lot of effort and hard work we have reached our goal. But it is important not to stop our efforts or else we will lose what we already achieved.

Six of WandsThe Six of Wands is a card of victory and success. We worked hard, put in the effort and therefore got everything we wished for.

However, the problem is that when we achieve our victory we tend to rest on our laurels. When we finally get what we want we stop being who we where while trying. And when this happens we might lose everything.

We did not achieve our victory by chance -we succeeded due to hard work and because we are good at what we do. However, if we do not continue walking our path and stop trying then we will surely fail.

Areas of particular relevance: Victories, sexuality, achieving a goal only for the experience of it.

Supportive Obtrusive
Relationships Falling in love, finding a partner, success and recognition, overcoming resistance and hardship Lack of persistence and no further investment after initial success, sexuality at an early stage can hurt the relationship
Career Success and reaching our goal due to hard work Once we succeed we tend to stop trying, squandering

Five of Wands

We feel invincible and think that everything will turn out exactly as planned, tending to underestimate the required effort. But, only if we work hard and ask for help will we succeed.

Five of WandsAlthough the Five of Wands indicates that we will achieve a victory, we have to understand that it will not be simple or easy. The problem lies in our belief that everything will happen swiftly enabling us to will reach our goal with minimal effort. But, things do not work out as expected and we find ourselves surprised by the amount of struggle required to get to our goal. It is important for us to be ready for this struggle while understanding it is an important phase in our personal development. We will succeed only if we are ready to fight.

The card indicates that we can, and need to, get help -help which is probably not conventional. And here we need to bear in mind that what is conventional for one person is not so for another. For example, for a religious person it is natural to turn to their spiritual leader while for a secular person it will be more natural to turn to a counselor. The point is that this help is coming from outside of our comfort zone and it, in turn, will bring success.

Areas of particular relevance: Struggles, arguments, hardship, love at first sight, foreboding, need to see a therapist, a woman falling for a man.

Supportive Obtrusive
Relationships We have great potential but need to undergo and complete a process before becoming successful Struggles and difficulties, conflicts, we tend to underestimate the situation
Career We are close to finding success but need to put all our efforts into it and fight hard in order to get it Resistance and hardship, conflict of interests, we tend to underestimate the required effort and think that succeed is guaranteed

Four of Wands

We are on the right track to success but we tend to move too fast, focusing solely on our goal and not experience our path to it. Enjoying the journey will ensure getting the results we seek.

Four of WandsIn Four of Wands we embark on a journey toward our long-term goal. We do so full of passion and with utter conviction, believing in our way and the success it will bring.

But results are not everything: we are so fired up and so excited about our goal that we miss the importance of experiencing the journey. Blind focus on an end such as a degree, a wedding or a business venture might cause us to miss the learning experience we gain on the way; the process of falling in love in a relationship, or the hands-on learning of opening our own business. These experiences are crucial for our personal development. The Four of Wands calls upon us to live every day to the fullest, while learning, enjoying and experiencing the journey.

Areas of particular relevance: Wedding, engagement, embarking on an adventure, making a sacrifice for a cause, sacrificing the present for the benefit of the future.

Supportive Obtrusive

Three of Wands

We have completed our quest for learning and self-discovery. We learned new skills and had other people acknowledge our potentials. Now, all paths of life are ours to pursue.

Three of WandsThe Three of Wands represents the results of the Two of Wands, which had started the process of our self-discovery and personal fulfillment. In this joyous card we get approval for our talent and abilities. The people in our immediate surroundings –such as peers and colleagues – acknowledge our skills, accept us as part of their group and cooperate with us, thus helping us reach our goal.

We have completed our initial training and are now moving forward with renewed energy toward our goal. However, like other situations in which we complete a learning process and are certified (e.g. becoming an attorney or a physician) we are still at the beginning of the road and have much work ahead of us. Therefore, the success indicated by this card is only the first milestone in a long-term journey.

In a relationship this card is especially blessed since it indicates the understanding and acceptance of the other party as the “one” for us.

Areas of particular relevance: Certification, graduation, acceptance to a guild or a professional circle.

Supportive Obtrusive
Relationships Success, declaring the seriousness of our intentions toward the other person, advancing to the next stage Getting too excited

Two of Wands

We need to embark on a personal quest for learning and self-discovery in which we will unlock our true potential and discover the tools for its fulfillment.

Two of WandsIn the card Two of Wands we have yet to learn and discover our true potential -therefore we cannot move forward. That being said, we wrongly assume that we are ready for our next move so might act prematurely and fail.

The card’s message is that we need to understand and unlock our potential via a quest of learning, personal growth and self-discovery. This is a very good time to start a new process of learning and education, either formal or informal.

Often the Two of Wands indicates that the topic at hand is in itself the lesson we need to learn -a lesson that is crucial for our personal development. To confront the topic in question we need to look at our past and learn from our previous mistakes -while making sure we do not avoid or skirt the subject. For example, if we would like to ask for a raise, possibly the issue we face is not asking for the raise but rather confronting our boss.

Areas of particular relevance: Education, travel, international commerce.

Knight of Wands

The Indifferent

Knight of WandsWe are waiting for something to turn us on, to get excited about. We need a spark. But nothing will turn us on, the excitement will not come.

Correction: we need to mature and understand that life is not a collection of thrills. The satisfaction we are seeking will eventually come but it will materialize gradually and over time while we live our life to the fullest.

The Knight of Wands indicates that we are waiting for something or someone to come and excite us, fire up our imagination and spirit us away.

But…it will not happen! We need to stop looking for that special person who will swipe us off our feet, or for the perfect idea that will set us on fire. It will simply not happen within the scope of this card. Eventually, we might be turned on but this will not happen suddenly out of impulse and desire. Rather, it will come gradually while we advance slowly and persistently.

Therefore, it is our job to initiate and act. We have to make sure that we do not rule out opportunities that cross our path and give second chances. The excitement will build gradually and when we finally get excited the Knight will become an Ace (of wands).

Areas of particular relevance: Dangers, impulsiveness.

  Supportive Obtrusive
Relationships N/A We rule out things too quick, we do not persevere and do not get excited
Career N/A We tend to slack out, be superficial, we do not persist, we take unnecessary risks
